About Us
We are Resi, the UK's number one home extension company, and we're on a mission to bring peace of mind to millions of stressed renovators.
About the Role
We are currently looking for a Planner to join our planning team on a full-time fixed-term basis, to manage planning applications and appeals for private residential projects on behalf of our clients.
Our Planning Team exists so our clients have the best in class guidance to ensure their projects respond to the risks of the planning process, while maximising the opportunity to realise their dreams of a happy home. This is achieved by working closely with our stakeholders including our in-house designers to produce proposals, and proactively engaging with local authority case officers to ensure we drive forward decision making.
You would be joining us on a 3 month fixed-term basis between February and April 2027, with the potential to extend further beyond April.
Responsibilities
As a Planner at Resi, you will:
- Preparing, submitting and managing planning applications and appeals on behalf of clients
- Acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, triaging queries and allocating actions as needed
- Maintaining timely, proactive correspondence with local planning authorities to maximise the chances of a successful outcome
- Keeping clients informed and engaged at each key stage of the planning process
- Collaborating with our in-house planners to manage and progress casework through to decision

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
