Planner & Buyer – DRTV (freelance or FTC – full time / 6 month contract)
West Midlands (hybrid or remote)
£45-50k pro rata FTC OR £350 - £425 day rate

We’re proud to be partnering with a thriving midlands based integrated marketing agency to recruit a talented DRTV Planner & Buyer for their expanding media team.

This brilliant agency work across a diverse client portfolio, including high-profile household brands in retail, automotive, fashion, and leisure. If you are passionate about TV performance advertising, thrive in a collaborative agency setting, and want a role offering real autonomy and ownership, this could be your ideal next step.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Media Planning: Combine analytical thinking with negotiation skills to deliver media plans that maximise client response, performance and ROI.
  • TV Schedule Management: Build, monitor, and optimise TV schedules across both terrestrial and multichannel TV, with a primary focus on direct response.
  • Media Buying: Negotiate and buy airtime across channels.
  • Data & Attribution Insights: Analyse all relevant data to optimise live campaigns and generate actionable insights for future activity.
  • Relationship Building: Work closely with clients, broadcasters, and media owners to foster strong, lasting partnerships.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable track record in TV planning and buying, specifically within DRTV (essential) and performance-driven advertising.
  • Extensive experience in understanding TV trading, BARB, audience measurement, attribution modelling, and campaign optimisation.
  • A collaborative attitude with great communication skills.
  • Broader knowledge of other media buying channels is advantageous, but not essential.
