About The Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Planner to join our Interior Fit-Out (IFO) team. Based in London, you will play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors.
Working closely with Operations, Commercial, Design, Procurement and Project Delivery teams, you will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring project programmes from pre-construction through to handover. Your expertise will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive planning professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple programmes across complex fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Development & Management
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes from tender stage through to project completion and handover.
- Produce logical, resource-loaded programmes that reflect project scope, construction methodology, procurement strategy and client requirements.
- Support bid and pre-construction teams with programming, sequencing and phasing advice.
- Ensure live programmes remain accurate, up to date and reflective of current project performance.
- Develop short-term look-ahead programmes to support effective site delivery and coordination.
Project Controls & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor project progress against baseline programmes and identify potential delays, risks and opportunities.
- Analyse critical path activities, milestones, float and programme performance.
- Support project teams in developing recovery programmes and mitigation strategies where required.
- Produce regular programme reports, dashboards and planning updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Track key fit-out milestones, including design approvals, procurement activities, client sign-offs and commissioning activities.
Risk & Change Management
- Identify and assess programme risks, constraints, interfaces and dependencies across project phases.
- Evaluate the programme impact of design developments, client changes, procurement challenges and site issues.
- Undertake scenario modelling and "what-if" analysis to support informed decision making.
- Maintain accurate records of programme changes and ensure appropriate communication to project stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Design Managers, Commercial Teams and Supply Chain Partners.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, progress reviews and programme workshops.
- Clearly communicate programme information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Promote collaborative planning and proactive problem-solving across project teams.

- Support digital planning initiatives and innovation within the fit-out business.
- Share lessons learned and best practice across the wider project delivery team.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a planning role within the construction industry, ideally within interior fit-out, refurbishment or commercial building projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, planning methodologies and project controls.
- Experience producing and maintaining detailed project programmes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Ability to analyse complex project information and provide practical planning recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience identifying programme risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Good understanding of design, procurement and construction processes within a fit-out environment.
Desirable
- Experience delivering CAT A, CAT B, workplace, commercial office, hospitality, healthcare or public sector fit-out projects.
- Experience supporting tender and bid submissions.
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of programme integration with commercial, cost and resource management.
- Membership of a relevant professional body.

- Collaborate with SHEQ teams to ensure planning activities support safe working practices.
