About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join our Ground Engineering team working with the Sizewell C project.

Role purpose: Responsible for creating and managing comprehensive construction project schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring timely project delivery. Aims to streamline planning processes, enhance coordination, and contribute to the overall efficiency of construction projects. The Planner's scope includes meticulous scheduling and strategic coordination to facilitate successful project outcomes.

What you'll be doing

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Planner who can work independently and collaboratively as part of the wider Planning Team. You’ll bring:

  • A strong understanding of planning procedures and the ability to produce compliant, high-quality programmes;
  • Experience developing efficient design, procurement, and construction strategies for tenders;
  • The ability to produce clear planning deliverables, including programmes, planning philosophies, presentations, and reports;
  • Experience producing, managing, and maintaining contract programmes;
  • The ability to identify and assess the critical path, communicate findings, and recommend corrective action;
  • Experience establishing project baselines and managing change control processes;
  • Strong resource management skills, with the ability to coordinate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently;
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing subcontractor and supplier performance; and
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using project data and KPIs to monitor progress, identify variances, and support informed decision-making.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Clear communication and confident negotiation skills;
  • Experience planning and managing projects from start to finish;
  • Proficiency in P6, Asta, or MS Project;
  • Good knowledge of construction methods and project scheduling;
  • An understanding of contract documentation;
  • Confidence managing data, processes, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships; and
  • Construction experience or transferable experience from a relevant sector.
