We are recruiting for a Planner with Primavera P6 experience for a 12-month contract + extensions, supporting a major Energy Infrastructure project in Scotland.
Scotland’s electricity infrastructure is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and vital transformation. Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, greener system — one that protects the planet and serves generations to come.
As a Planner you will provide planning expertise across the design and construction phases of our major high-voltage infrastructure projects, supporting the achievement of our net zero ambitions. Our work spans the construction of new substations and extensions to existing substations across Scotland.
You’ll own the planning process, developing integrated, cost-loaded programmes, managing critical path and float, and applying earned value techniques to monitor progress, identify risk and support delivery to time and beyond allowance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
