Role Description

The Planning Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Lincoln. This position is responsible for supporting production planning activities, including maintaining schedules, updating planning systems, and coordinating information between manufacturing, logistics, and customer service teams. Daily tasks include reviewing orders and forecasts, monitoring stock levels, preparing reports, and helping to adjust plans to meet demand and capacity constraints. The role also involves communicating with internal stakeholders to resolve planning issues, assisting with customer queries related to product availability, and supporting training and process improvements within the planning function. The Planning Administrator contributes to efficient operations by ensuring accurate data, clear communication, and timely responses to changing business needs.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support accurate production planning decisions.
  • Experience or knowledge in production planning, scheduling, or coordination within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and share planning information clearly and professionally.
  • Customer service skills to handle queries, manage expectations, and support positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to support training activities, including sharing process knowledge and helping colleagues understand planning systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and planning or ERP systems; strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, or pet products environment is beneficial.
  • Relevant education or vocational training in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field is advantageous.
