Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 6 months

Shift patterns: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm

Location: Derby - DE74 2BB

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Administrator to join our team at East Midlands Gateway, Derby on a 6-month secondment.

Supporting warehouse operations, you will play a key role in workforce planning, administration, reporting, and booking coordination, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operation.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Support daily warehouse planning activities, ensuring resources are aligned to operational requirements and service level targets
  • Coordinate employee administration, including onboarding, offboarding, attendance, overtime, and agency workforce processes
  • Manage inbound and outbound booking schedules, maintaining strong relationships with hauliers and transport partners
  • Act as a key link between planning, operations, transport teams, and external partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

  • Previous experience in an administrative, planning, logistics, or warehouse support role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling data, reports, and workforce records
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong IT literacy - proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills. Experience using Warehouse Management systems, ideally Blue Yonder. Smart Bookings experience is also desirable
