Administrative Support to the Planning Department
The post holder will be responsible for providing accurate and timely administrative support to the Planning department, including maintaining planning data, updating MRP records, preparing routine reports and KPIs, and supporting effective document control and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Planning department
- Enter, update and maintain accurate planning, order and master data within the MRP system
- Prepare and distribute scheduled daily and weekly planning reports and KPI information using approved templates
- Maintain departmental trackers, spreadsheets, records and filing systems, ensuring information is complete and up to date
- Support planners with routine data checks, document preparation and follow-up of outstanding information
- Assist with meeting administration, including preparing information, recording actions and maintaining action logs where required
- Respond to routine planning queries and direct more complex issues to the appropriate planner or manager
- Follow departmental procedures, data-control requirements and health and safety standards at all times
- Complete other administrative duties appropriate to the role as requested.

Requirements
Essential
- Previous administrative experience preferably within a planning, manufacturing or operational environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Experience using an MRP or ERP system
- Educated to GCSE level, Grades A*-C, or equivalent, including Mathematics and English
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accurate data entry and record keeping
- Professional, dependable and willing to learn planning systems and processes.
