Contract: Fixed Term - 12 Months - Due to short term funding

Are you an experienced project manager or business development professional looking for a rewarding opportunity to influence strategic decision-making in one of the UK's leading NHS Trusts?
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Planning and Business Development Manager to lead the development of capital business cases, service improvement and investment proposals that will help transform patient care and deliver our strategic ambitions.
Working within the Planning and Business Development team and with colleagues from across the organisation, you will develop bids for national funding, business cases, service plans and investment proposals that support the Trust's strategic priorities.
You'll bring experience in business planning, service and business case development, change management or programme delivery, together with strong analytical, communication and project management skills.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
This successful candidate will be responsible for shaping future services and driving transformational change across the Trust.
We are looking for a proactive and strategic thinker who can build effective relationships, influence stakeholders and work confidently across a complex organisation.
Focused on improving healthcare services, you will develop robust, evidence-based proposals, support investment decisions and work collaboratively with clinical, operational and corporate teams to deliver better outcomes for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading a diverse portfolio of projects from concept, through approvals and onward to implementation, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Working with both internal and external stakeholders across clinical, operational and corporate services to develop and deliver service improvements.
- Providing expert advice, challenge and support to senior leaders and external partners.
- Developing financially robust, evidence-based proposals that align with organisational priorities and improve patient outcomes and experience.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
Essential criteria
- Masters Degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable recent service planning or change management experience in an NHS environment, preferably in an acute hospital trust.
- Project management experience
- Substantial experience in NHS setting
- Facilitation of multi-professional group
- Experience of leading change through empowering people and holding them to account
- Clear understanding of budgeting, investment and savings approaches in an NHS context
- Demonstrable commitment to ensuring that each pound of NHS funding delivers maximum patient benefit, and that NHS organisations efficient and financially sustainable together with providing excellent patient outcomes
- An understanding of the complexity of service delivery in a large organisation
- Evidence of presenting complex information to internal and external groups in an understandable way
- Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical and workable solutions to address them
Desirable criteria
- Tender or Bid writing
- Specialist qualifications or equivalent experience in a related discipline such as Programme and Project Management, Business Case preparation in the public sector
- Advanced PC and analytical skills
