Strategy & Performance

The Strategy & Performance team works in partnership with stakeholders across the institution, combining our specialist expertise, sector knowledge, and institutional awareness to support the delivery of our vision to 2028 and beyond. This directorate at UEL comprises of five main areas; Planning & Performance, Strategic Delivery, Risk Management, Institutional Modelling, and External Reporting. These five service areas will facilitate effective decision making, improve our staff and student experience, and deliver lasting positive change.

About The Job

As Planning and Performance Manager you will have the voice and the remit to inspire, influence, and make a real mark on the University in the years ahead. You could soon be playing a significant role at the heart of a supportive and dynamic team that’s committed to helping University of East London achieve the ambitious goals set out in our strategic plan Vision 2028.

You will be a Business Partner to our Schools and professional service teams across UEL. You will be a key individual in our Business Planning Rounds, as well as the development and maintenance of our performance monitoring for senior colleagues. As part of the Planning and Performance team, you will support our portfolio management activities in student number planning and provide support on regulatory frameworks to inform decision making that scans the operating environment to seize opportunities and more.

About You

To succeed, you will be confident in influencing and guiding senior colleagues on data-driven performance discussions. You will have knowledge on a broad range of university topics that include business planning, teaching quality, and research quality. What’s more, in keeping with our progressive culture, you will need to be a strategic thinker that thrives on new ideas to drive our teams forward. In summary, you enjoy having a broad remit and the opportunities to affect change across a university.
