Job Description
We are looking for a planning visualisation artist to join our planning visualisation team on a fixed term contract basis, with a possibility of contract extension or switch to full time at the end of the contract depending on company need and candidate suitability.
This opportunity would suit a candidate with experience in creating photoreal planning visualisations (AVRs) with familiarity of model texturing, lighting, rendering as well as camera matching and “wireline” technical illustrations. The role requires knowledge in 3ds Max, V-Ray and Photoshop, with principles working in a wider team and adherence to Cityscape standards and working methods. A passion for architecture and excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills are key, as is having the confidence to liaise directly with clients, consultants and architects whilst working as part of our valued team.
Roles and Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Producing planning (‘Accurate Visual Representations’ - AVR3) visuals end-to-end: modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering and post-production of visuals.
- Working with a small team of visualisation artists and technical staff on a project
- Responsible for adhering to technical accuracy and quality of planning visuals.
- Seek critique of your own work and take constructive feedback onboard.
- Camera matching for verified and non-verified views — aligning 3D models to real-world photography with high accuracy using survey and OS coordinate data.
- Creating wireline (AVR1) and massing views in line with LVMF and other planning standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
