Join the Planning & Data team, a collaborative group dedicated to uncovering revealing insights and crafting compelling strategic narratives that drive commercial initiatives, thought leadership, and distinctive creative solutions across our portfolio.
Your Role
Step into a pivotal position where your analytical mindset and creative instincts will shape strategic directions and proactive pitches for News UK brands. You will navigate consumer and media data to articulate clear marketing objectives, providing the foundation for distinctive, culturally relevant creative solutions.
Day to Day
- Analyse first and third-party audience data to recommend effective ways to reach target audiences across the News UK portfolio.
- Uncover distinctive audience insights and apply deep contextual understanding to guide content solutions and strategic responses.
- Collaborate seamlessly with client, agency development, content, and commercial brand teams on pitches, strategy development, and creative brainstorming.
- Transform complex data insights into engaging, clear narratives that resonate strongly with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion the adoption of AI tools and synthetic data to enhance research, improve planning efficiency, and elevate data literacy across the commercial department.
- Deliver compelling thought leadership content that offers a fresh perspective on media, creativity, and culture.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to extract meaningful insights from proprietary data tools (such as TGI, YouGov, PAMCo, RAJAR, or equivalent) to provide cross-platform media recommendations.
- Confident communication style tailored to conveying complex strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong strategic and creative instincts grounded in a thorough understanding of consumer journeys and marketing principles.
- Capability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks effectively, and delegate responsibilities to ensure project momentum.
- Experience utilising AI tools as research assistants to drive workflow efficiencies and support creative ideation.
- Experience or a strong curiosity in applying behavioural economics principles to marketing and media strategies.
