Planning & Development Coordinator

North Bay Developments - Leeds LS15 9JN

North Bay Developments, the development arm of North Bay Group, is looking for an organised and proactive Planning & Development Coordinator to join our growing team.

Working across Yorkshire, the North East, North West, Cheshire and Stoke, we acquire land and existing buildings and develop or convert them into high-quality care homes.

This is a key coordination role where you’ll take ownership of the planning process from site acquisition through to consent and discharge of conditions, making sure applications keep moving and nothing gets held up unnecessarily.

You will work closely with planning consultants, architects, local authorities and our acquisitions and development teams, keeping projects on track and providing clear updates on progress, risks and deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a live planning tracker across multiple development sites
  • Coordinating pre-applications and planning applications
  • Liaising with planning consultants, architects, councils and statutory consultees
  • Preparing and checking planning application documentation and submissions
  • Chasing applications, validations, decisions and outstanding information
  • Managing the discharge of planning conditions and Section 106 obligations
  • Identifying potential planning risks and raising these early
  • Supporting the development team with planning information on new acquisitions
  • Developing effective processes and trackers to improve the planning workflow

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
