The Opportunity

We are hiring a Global Planning Director to shape the future of media strategy for Tork—part of Essity, the world’s leading professional hygiene brand. This is an exciting role within a global team, delivering impactful media planning across 14 markets.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead multi-market media strategies—ensuring they align with global and local business objectives.
  • Oversee campaign planning and evaluation across the full lifecycle: brief-to-report, including optimisation and ROI tracking.
  • Develop deep client relationships—acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, delivering clear, actionable insights.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution—aligning media purchase, creative production, and budget management for seamless delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence—revising processes, workflows, and team efficiency to maximise impact.
  • ** Collaborate with Senior Director (Business/PMO) teams** to shape annual media plans, budgets, and channel best practices.
  • Manage a small team—fostering growth, challenge, and collaboration so everyone does their best work.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Media planning proficiency—specialised in digital channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, and programmatic.
  • Client-facing expertise—confident in building trusted relationships and presenting complex ideas in accessible ways.
  • Stakeholder management—ability to navigate responsibilities spanning multiple markets and disciplines.
  • Data acumen—analysing data to inform decisions, and applying insights with precision and decisiveness.
  • Strong communications skills—crafting engaging, structured narratives for diverse audiences (executives, creatives, demand-side platforms).
  • Open-mindedness and curiosity—active interest in exploring emerging techniques and rethinking industry norms.
  • Collaborative mindset—commitment to teamwork, shared success, and inclusive leadership.
