Ceto Talent is recruiting a Planning Engineer on behalf of a leading international engineering and offshore construction contractor, supporting its Offshore Wind business line.

Working closely with the Planning Manager and wider Project Controls team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing project schedules, with a particular focus on tendering, offshore Transportation & Installation (T&I) and potentially EPCI projects.

This position would suit an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in offshore Oil & Gas, offshore wind or major offshore construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project schedules in line with contractual requirements and internal planning standards.
  • Review schedule feasibility and identify potential constraints, risks and critical activities.
  • Implement and maintain project planning and progress control systems.
  • Monitor progress against the agreed baseline and identify, analyse and report schedule deviations.
  • Develop and maintain 90-day look-ahead, weekly and monthly schedules.
  • Support the preparation of project status and progress reports.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction and project management teams to maintain schedule awareness across the project.
  • Support contract amendments, variations and claims through time impact analysis.
  • Participate in project risk management activities, including schedule risk analysis.
  • Support planning activities during tender and bid phases.
  • Provide planning input across offshore T&I and EPCI project phases where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
