I am currently supporting a London Local Authority with the recruitment of a Planning Infrastructure Monitoring Assistant
Purpose of the Role
Support the Planning Infrastructure team by managing the Section 106 (S106) scoping process, assisting with the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) process, and ensuring infrastructure contributions are correctly assessed, collected and monitored.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the S106 consultation/scoping process with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with S106 agreements.
- Support the administration and monitoring of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
- Assess planning applications to determine CIL liability.
- Issue CIL notices and administer exemptions, surcharges, and interest.
- Prepare case statements for CIL appeals.
- Calculate CIL payments due to Parish Councils.
- Produce data for the Annual Infrastructure Funding Statement.
- Respond to enquiries from developers, solicitors, councillors, parish councils, and the public regarding S106 and CIL.
- Respond to FOI requests relating to developer contributions.
- Maintain knowledge of planning legislation relating to developer contributions.
- Identify breaches of planning obligations and support enforcement by providing evidence where required.
