Planning Lead | Major Data Centre Project | North East England

Work on one of Europe's largest data centre campuses. Be part of a £10bn+ investment programme.

This is an opportunity to join one of Europe’s largest data centre campuses, a landmark hyperscale development in Cambois, Northumberland. The project represents up to £10bn of investment and will span approximately 540,000 sqm, making it one of the most significant data centre developments currently underway in the UK.

As Planning Lead, you’ll have a genuine opportunity to shape the programme on a project of a scale rarely seen in UK construction. You’ll sit at the centre of delivery, coordinating programme, sequencing and progress across major packages, contractors and project disciplines.

The Role

  • Own and manage the integrated project programme.
  • Lead planning and scheduling across the construction lifecycle.
  • Manage critical path, progress, constraints and programme risk.
  • Coordinate programmes across contractors, packages, design and engineering teams.
  • Develop short-term lookaheads and long-term construction schedules.
  • Identify delays and lead mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Review subcontractor programmes and ensure alignment with the master programme.
  • Provide programme updates, reporting and critical path analysis to senior leadership.
  • Support Commercial and Project Management teams with variations, claims and extensions of time.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
