Role Description
The Planning Manager is a full-time, office-based role in the Greater Liverpool Area. This role oversees the planning and scheduling of renewable energy installations, ensuring projects are efficiently coordinated from initial consultation through to completion.

- Day-to-day responsibilities include developing project plans, managing resource allocation, reviewing site surveys, and aligning installation timelines with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
- The Planning Manager collaborates closely with design, installation, and customer service teams to optimize workflows, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- The role also involves monitoring project performance, preparing reports, and continuously improving planning processes to support growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience in project planning and scheduling, ideally within construction, renewable energy, or related technical fields.
- Strong skills in project management tools, data analysis, and reporting to track timelines, resources, and performance.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (such as solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps, or EV charging) is essential to be considered for this role.
- Solid organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills to handle multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Experience working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in the Greater Liverpool Area.
- Relevant education in engineering, construction management, environmental studies, business, or a comparable discipline is beneficial.
- Understanding of UK energy efficiency standards, permitting processes, or MCS and related compliance frameworks is an advantage.
