Role Overview

Omega are delighted to be supporting a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a Planning Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving planning performance across a complex manufacturing operation. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and senior stakeholders, you'll ensure customer demand, production capacity, and material availability are aligned to deliver outstanding service and operational performance.

Main Duties

  • Lead and develop the Planning team
  • Translate customer demand into achievable production plans
  • Balance demand, capacity, and material availability
  • Drive schedule adherence and delivery performance
  • Support S&OP and wider planning activities
  • Identify risks, constraints, and recovery actions
  • Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and systems

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a Planning Manager, Master Scheduler, or Production Planning role
  • Strong manufacturing planning background
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience managing production schedules, capacity, and inventory
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Aerospace, defence, or another regulated manufacturing environment desirable
