Job Purpose
We are hiring a Planning Manager, Inventory Planning to shape Burberry’s global inventory strategy and lead Open to Buy planning across regions and channels. You will bring together commercial insight, financial planning, and cross-functional expertise to support informed decisions throughout the product lifecycle. Working with senior leaders and partners across the business, you will help optimise inventory, protect margin, and support sustainable growth. You will also guide and develop a Planner, creating an environment built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Own global and regional Open to Buy planning across full-price stores, digital, outlet, and wholesale, ensuring inventory and productivity assumptions support commercial priorities.
- Develop a long-term global inventory strategy across the product lifecycle, translating financial and commercial objectives into clear plans.
- Prepare and present Open to Buy recommendations to senior leadership, communicating complex analysis in a clear and compelling way.
- Partner with Finance, Merchandising, regional teams, Replenishment, and Supply Chain to align revenue, procurement, margin, and inventory targets.
- Identify sales, margin, and inventory risks, recommending rebalancing, markdown, and delist actions that improve sell-through and reduce exposure.
- Lead, coach, and develop a Planner while encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and talent development across the planning community.

Personal Profile
- Substantial experience in global inventory or merchandise planning, with responsibility for complex commercial plans across multiple regions or channels.
- Strong knowledge of Open to Buy management, inventory productivity, stock turn, margin planning, and forecasting.
- Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to turn detailed analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships across Finance, Merchandising, Planning, Replenishment, and Supply Chain.
- Sound judgement, analytical capability, and close attention to detail, combined with a practical approach to solving business challenges.
- Experience supporting the development of others and creating an inclusive, accountable, and forward-thinking team environment.
