Planning Manager – Major Infrastructure Project

Location: London – Hybrid (2 days per week on site)
Rate: £525 per day
Contract: Initial contract | Start: ASAP

We are recruiting for an experienced Planning Manager to support a major infrastructure project in London, working within a complex multi-contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain integrated project and contractor programmes.
  • Monitor critical paths, milestones, risks, and project progress.
  • Assess programme changes and NEC compensation events.
  • Provide schedule intelligence and reporting to Project/Programme Managers.
  • Identify emerging issues and proactively advise on mitigation.
  • Lead and support planning resources and stakeholder relationships.

Essential Experience

  • Strong planning experience on major infrastructure or engineering projects.
  • Excellent Primavera P6 and project scheduling experience.
  • Experience managing master schedules and integrating contractor programmes.
  • Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and compensation events.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Proactive approach with strong commercial awareness.

Desirable

  • Railway/signalling experience and Earned Value Management (EVM).
