About The Team:
The Planning team is the most data-driven team at HelloFresh: we plan, schedule and analyse the production of every box before it reaches our hungry customers across the UK. It's a team where technical skill genuinely moves the needle, and where the right person can make a real mark.
What You Will Be Doing:
This is a technical role at the heart of the planning team. We're looking for the subject-matter expert on the front-end of production planning: someone who owns the tools, the systems and the detail, and who is proactive rather than reactive. Management experience is not essential; deep technical capability is. In your first year you will:
- Own the technical capability of the planning team, and be the subject-matter expert on the frontend production planning tasks before they reach production.
- Oversee and coordinate the daily planning operations, and actively build the production schedule.
- Analyse the previous week's production measurements to adapt future plan parameters, and draw out insight for ongoing and future projects.
- Drive initiatives to improve the tools and processes that optimise production, measurement and KPI reporting, applying AI and automation where it adds value.
- Act as the technical lead for the team, coordinating short and mid-term team and business projects.
- Support and help elevate the team, and attend tier meetings.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
