Planning Manager

Redhill - Hybrid Working

Up to £90K base + Excellent package

We’re working with our client to appoint an experienced Planning Manager to join their team on a major airport programme in the Southeast.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a senior role within a complex, high-value infrastructure environment, providing strategic planning leadership and helping drive successful project delivery.

The Opportunity

As Planning Manager, you’ll lead the planning function across a major airport programme, working closely with senior project leaders, commercial teams, engineering specialists, and delivery teams.

You’ll be responsible for developing robust, integrated programmes, providing insight into project performance, and ensuring planning remains aligned with construction, commercial, and wider programme objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing planning team.
  • Develop, manage, and optimise complex integrated programmes using Primavera P6.
  • Establish planning best practice, governance, and consistent delivery standards.
  • Align programmes with construction, commercial, risk, and project controls strategies.
  • Provide programme reporting, forecasting, and critical path analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify programme risks, opportunities, and recovery strategies.
  • Translate complex programme data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively across engineering, commercial, construction, and project controls teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
