We're looking for an organised, analytical, and proactive individual to join our Supply Chain Team in a Planning Support role.
Working closely with the Material and Production Planners, you'll support the day-to-day planning process, helping to ensure production schedules are achievable, materials are available, and customer requirements are met.
In addition, the business is preparing to transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA in early 2027. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in this significant transformation, developing practical experience of both the existing SAP environment and the new S/4HANA system.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the principal tasks relate to:
- Support the Planning Team with the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
- Assist in creating and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly raw material delivery and production schedules.
- Monitor customer demand and production capacity to support efficient planning of raw materials and production.
- Help manage production priorities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Update and maintain material and production planning data within SAP.
- Actively participate in weekly meetings and work closely with Operations, Procurement, Customer Supply, and Warehouse teams to resolve supply or scheduling issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and support material availability.
- Provide cover for the Planners in the event of planned and unplanned absence.

The ideal candidate should have:
Essential
- A good general level of education, with GCSE A-C / 9-5 grades in Maths and English.
- Excellent IT, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- A degree (or expected degree) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of production planning or inventory management principles.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous (not essential - full training will be provided).
Training & Development Plan
- A structured induction into our manufacturing operations.
- Training in SAP and production planning processes.
- Ongoing coaching from experienced Production Planners.
- Regular development reviews and opportunities to take on increasing responsibility.
