Plant Administrator - Goldthorpe - FTC
Altrad are currently recruiting for a proactive and organised Plant Administrator to support the Plant function from our Goldthorpe office. Reporting to the UK Plant & Fleet Manager, the role will support plant hire, asset records, financial administration and compliance, with a strong focus on accuracy, communication and continuous improvement.
Key Deliverables
- Liaising with external suppliers and site personnel to obtain quotations, resolve queries and ensure costs and services are accurately recorded.
- Reviewing, raising and amending purchase requisitions to ensure they are accurate and aligned with business requirements.
- Investigating and resolving Accounts Payable (AP) queries in a timely and effective manner.
- Supporting the maintenance of plant and asset compliance through accurate data processing, administration and record keeping.
- Using Microsoft Office and other business systems, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Access, to maintain records, analyse data and validate information against external hire records.
- Ensuring internal costs are accurate and correctly allocated against the appropriate contracts, projects and business requirements.
- Maintaining accurate plant and asset inventories and working closely with colleagues to ensure records remain current.
- Liaising with external hire providers to validate hire records, charges, dates and asset information.
- Sorting the control and coordination of asset movements across the business to maximise utilisation and maintain accurate records.
- Liaising with regional offices to ensure required inspections are completed, recorded and uploaded in line with company requirements.
- Maintaining organised and accessible electronic and physical records, including plant documentation, hire information and supporting paperwork.
- Supporting the wider Plant & Asset team with general administrative duties and process improvements as required.
- Identifying discrepancies, inaccuracies or opportunities for improvement and proactively raising these with the appropriate team member.

- Previous experience in administration, procurement, fleet, plant, hire, finance or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
