Plant Area Manager – Prior Park Garden Centre

The Plant Area Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the Outdoor Plant Sales Area, driving sales, managing inventory and seasonal plant orders, and motivating the plant sales team to achieve and maintain high standards, and provide excellent customer service.

You will become part of the wider team, carrying out duty management responsibilities with others, throughout the garden Centre

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Team Leadership – Direct, train and support our existing team to deliver excellent customer service and maximize sales.
  • Sales and Stock – To be responsible for the ordering of all outdoor plants, control of stock and merchandising to deliver the best experience for customers.
  • Customer Service – Provide expert advice, handle queries, and encourage repeat custom.
  • Operations – To maintain a tidy plant sales area, process goods in/out and manage pricing and labelling.
  • Plant care – Oversee plant stock health, watering and general maintenance.
  • Duty Management – To work as part of the wider management team to ensure the smooth running of the Garden Centre as a whole.

Person Specification:-

  • Experience – Previous experience working in a similar horticultural retail setting is essential.
  • Knowledge – Strong Horticultural Knowledge, With Relevant Qualifications Preferred.
  • Skills – Customer and retail focused, with an eye for detail, self-motivated, and the ability to communicate with customers and staff.
  • Availability – Full-time, weekend on/off
