Location: Luton
Salary: £20ph to £22ph + Overtime + Benefits
NEOS Engineering Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Engineer / Heavy Plant Engineer to join a well-established and leading organisation within the construction and heavy plant industry, based in Luton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Engineer to join a business operating an extensive fleet of specialist construction equipment, including Cranes, Piling Rigs, and Heavy Plant Machinery.
Previous experience working on Cranes or Piling Rigs is NOT essential. Engineers with a background in Heavy Plant, Construction Equipment, Agricultural Machinery, or similar industries are strongly encouraged to apply, as the skills are highly transferable.
The Role:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Cranes, Piling Rigs, and Heavy Plant Machinery.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Conducting preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
- Working on a range of specialist construction equipment within a workshop environment.
- Identifying faults and ensuring machinery is maintained to a high standard.
- Working alongside an experienced engineering team.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Workshop Engineer, Heavy Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Construction Plant Engineer, or similar.
- Experience working on Heavy Plant equipment such as Excavators, Dumpers, Telehandlers, Cranes, Piling Rigs, or Agricultural Machinery.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
- Electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
- A recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be beneficial.
- No previous Crane or Piling Rig experience required – Heavy Plant Engineers are encouraged to apply.
