Machine Serve is a small, friendly plant machinery business based in Winkleigh, working across the local area (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset). We look after diggers, dumpers, loaders and attachments for builders, farmers and plant hire companies. Main dealers for Yanmar, MultiOne and much more.
We’re looking for a local engineer who wants a stable job, varied work, and a team that actually appreciates them.
What the job involves
- Servicing and repairing excavators, dumpers, loaders and attachments
- Diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical fault-finding
- Workshop and field-based work (local only)
- Using proper tools and equipment — no bodging
- Working independently with support when needed

Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to be a plant expert. We’re open to people from:
- Agricultural engineering
- HGV mechanics
- Forklift service
- Groundcare technicians
- Skilled car mechanics with good diagnostic ability
If you’re mechanically minded, practical, and enjoy varied work, you’ll fit in well.
Must be local
We’re only considering candidates within 20–25 minutes of Winkleigh.
