Plant Manager | Oakham
Lead a High-Performing Manufacturing Operation and Develop the Next Generation of Talent
At Amcor, we're looking for an exceptional manufacturing leader to take responsibility for our Oakham site and help shape the next chapter of its success.
This is more than a plant leadership role. It's an opportunity to lead a strategically important manufacturing operation, develop and inspire a highly skilled workforce, strengthen our culture of operational excellence, and play a key role in developing future manufacturing talent through one of Amcor's UK apprenticeship academies.
Reporting directly to the UKI General Manager, you will have full accountability for plant performance across safety, people, operations, quality, customer satisfaction, and financial results. You'll lead an experienced management team while championing a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, capability development, and engagement.

As Plant Manager, you'll have:

What You'll Be Responsible For
Leading the Site
You'll provide inspirational leadership across all aspects of plant performance, ensuring the business consistently delivers against safety, service, quality, productivity, and financial targets.
Key areas include:
- Creating and executing the site strategy in line with UK business goals.
- Driving a high-performance culture centred on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Leading and developing a cross-functional leadership team across operations, engineering, planning, warehouse, and support functions.
- Delivering exceptional operational and customer outcomes.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a proven manufacturing leader with experience managing complex operations and delivering measurable business results.
Essential Experience
- Significant leadership experience within manufacturing, operations, or site management environments.
- Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams through change, growth, and transformation.
- Strong financial acumen with P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and customer requirements.
- Demonstrated success in driving a strong safety culture.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for people development and building organisational capability.
- Data-driven, commercially minded decision maker.

Desirable
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Operational Excellence experience.
- Experience leading organisational change and transformation programmes.
- Experience developing technical, engineering, or apprenticeship talent programmes.
