Plant Manager
Telford

LHH is partnered with a leading manufacturing organisation as they seek an experienced Plant Manager to take overall responsibility for site operations across two closely located manufacturing sites in Telford.
The role will provide senior leadership across a 24/7 manufacturing operation covering blown film extrusion and converting, aluminium foil and cling-film rewinding. You will be responsible for translating business plans into effective daily execution, ensuring the site delivers against key Customer Service, Quality, Cost, People and EHS objectives.
As the senior site leader, you will lead and develop the management team, building a culture of ownership, continuous improvement and constructive employee engagement. You will also take responsibility for the site's performance management, ensuring robust daily and weekly performance reviews and driving appropriate action where required.

A key focus of the role will be improving operational efficiency, including OEE, throughput, material yield and manpower productivity, while reducing overall cost of goods. You will drive improvements through stable processes, effective engineering standards, disciplined loss analysis, automation and digitalisation, particularly across manual-intensive activities. The role will also involve leading key projects, strengthening cross-functional collaboration and supporting supply chain improvements across warehousing and logistics.
The successful candidate will also bring experience of site and production transformation, with the ability to review existing product lines, assess operational and commercial performance, and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing footprint. This will include evaluating the future requirements of the sites and, where appropriate, supporting the assessment of potential site consolidation and associated transformation activity.

You will have a strong focus on health, safety and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, permits, risk assessments and company standards. You will also promote visible safety leadership and ensure product safety, traceability and audit readiness are maintained to the required customer and regulatory standards.
