Bairds Malt is looking for an accomplished Plant Manager to lead our Witham site, driving safety, quality, operational performance, continuous improvement and people development.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for:

  • Leading production, engineering, process and barley operations
  • Developing a strong, visible health & safety culture
  • Driving efficiency, yield and utility performance
  • Managing budgets, maintenance and operational costs
  • Ensuring consistently high-quality malt for our customers
  • Leading audits, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Building, coaching and developing a high-performing team
  • Identifying new opportunities to improve plant performance

We’re looking for someone with 3+ years’ production management experience within malting, brewing, food processing or a similar environment, alongside strong people leadership, budget management and quality experience.

Knowledge of the malting process is highly desirable, with opportunities for intensive malting training where appropriate.

Location: Witham
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with participation in the callout rota
Reports to: Operations Manager – England
