Plant Manager | Garden Centre & Horticultural Retail | North London | £33,000
Are you an experienced Plant Manager, Horticultural Manager or Garden Centre Manager with a passion for plants, horticulture and customer service? We're recruiting a Plant Manager for a well-established garden centre in North London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced horticultural professional to take ownership of a plant department, lead a team and drive sales while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The Role
As Plant Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the plant and outdoor living department, ensuring high standards of plant quality, stock availability, visual merchandising and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the horticultural department to deliver strong commercial performance
- Driving sales, maximising revenue and achieving department targets
- Managing stock availability, plant quality and stock rotation
- Creating attractive plant displays and maintaining excellent visual merchandising standards
- Recruiting, training, motivating and developing a knowledgeable team
- Delivering outstanding customer service and sharing expert horticultural advice
- Managing product ranges, promotions and departmental layouts
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety and ensuring compliance
- Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve sales and profitability
About You
We're looking for a passionate and commercially minded horticultural professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine interest in plants and gardening.

You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Plant Manager, Horticultural Manager, Garden Centre Manager or Department Manager
- Experience working within a garden centre, horticultural or plant retail environment
- Strong knowledge of plants, gardening and horticulture
- Experience managing, coaching and developing a team
- A proven ability to drive sales and deliver commercial results
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A hands-on approach and the ability to maintain high retail standards
