The Opportunity
We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Plant Operative to join our Northwich Asphalt Plant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on operational role where you’ll support the safe and efficient production of asphalt while helping to keep the site running smoothly day to day.
You’ll work across a rotating shift pattern of Monday to Friday 05:30–15:00 and 19:00–02:00, with Saturday shifts of 06:00–12:00 and 08:00–14:00. The role includes a rotating week of days and nights, although night shifts can be more sporadic depending on operational requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, practical work and learning new skills within a busy plant environment.
Experience working on a weighbridge would be highly beneficial, and full training can be provided across other areas of the operation including loading shovel duties and asphalt mixing processes.

What You'll be Doing
- Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt plant
- Operating the weighbridge and assisting with vehicle movements and customer collections
- Assisting with asphalt production, mixing operations and material handling duties
- Carrying out loading shovel operations and supporting general plant activities following training
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and basic plant maintenance across the site

- You’re dependable, flexible and comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
- You enjoy hands-on work and take pride in maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- You communicate effectively with drivers, contractors and colleagues onsite
- You’re willing to learn new skills and support different operational areas as required
