Plant Operator

Wembdon, Bridgwater

About us

With a rich history dating back to 1923, Cavanna Homes is the South West’s largest independent house builder. We are family-owned and construct beautiful new homes that customers love.

We are now looking for a Plant Operator to join our team at Centenary Heights, Wembdon, on a full-time, permanent basis, working 39 hours per week.

What you’ll be doing

As a Plant Operator, you will operate a telescopic forklift at our Centenary Heights site, just outside Bridgwater.

You will move material around the site, assist with the successful delivery of construction projects, and maintain high standards of work while adhering to health and safety policies.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting colleagues and subcontractors in working effectively
  • Ensuring the presentation and cleanliness of the site is maintained
  • Helping to manage site traffic safely and efficiently

Who we are looking for

To be considered as a Plant Operator, you will need:

  • To be a qualified CPCS and/or NPORS cardholder for telescopic forklift
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • A good understanding of and adherence to health and safety standards
  • A full, valid driving licence
