Plant Operator
Location: Malton, England, Yorkshire & The Humber
Job Type: Temporary
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours; 30 minute paid break + 30 minute unpaid lunch)
Hourly Pay: £15/hour (£31,200 annual equivalent)
Duration: Temp to Perm (18 weeks)
Job Overview
Join a busy yard & workshop team as a Plant Operator to support machinery movements, loading, preparation, and general site operations. Ideal for someone practical, organised, and confident operating machinery.

Key Responsibilities
- Yard management: Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe; maintain machine display areas; ensure clear access routes.
- Machinery movement: Safely move equipment using forklifts (up to 7T), side loaders, telehandlers, tractors, and overhead cranes (OHC/10T Humber).
- Vehicle loading: Load/unload lorries, secure loads, follow safe lifting procedures, and support drivers.
- Machine preparation: Wash, prepare, and complete basic pre-delivery checks; fit simple attachments.
- General workshop support: Assist workshop, parts, and production teams; support housekeeping; help maintain buildings and grounds.
- Local collections: Carry out local supplier collections using company vehicles.
Desirable Skills & Experience

- Parts handling
