An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plant Service Manager to join a leading national plant hire company. You'll manage a busy workshop, overseeing the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a large fleet of construction plant while leading a team of around 25 engineers and workshop staff.
The Role
- Manage the day-to-day running of a busy workshop.
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 25 engineers and service staff.
- Ensure servicing, inspections, PDI's, and repairs are completed to a high standard.
- Maximise fleet availability through effective workshop planning.
- Maintain high Health & Safety and compliance standards.
- Monitor workshop performance, costs, and engineer productivity.
- Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to prioritise workloads and improve efficiency.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Plant Service Manager, Workshop Manager, or similar.
- Strong background in plant hire, construction equipment, or heavy plant.
- Experience managing engineering teams.
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land Based Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Package
- £60,000 - £65,000 basic salary.
- Company electric vehicle.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm.
- Company pension.
- Ongoing training and career progression.
- Permanent position with a leading national plant hire business.
