You will report to the Plant Services Team Leader and the working hours are:
- Monday to Friday (Double days shift pattern)
- 06:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
- Alternate weekend cover
Key Job Accountabilities
As part of the site services team, you’ll be responsible for…
- Maintaining all site services to support the demands of the production environment.
- Completing scheduled maintenance and ensuring accurate records are kept.
- Ensuring that all water treatment equipment is operating correctly.
- Ensuring the correct running and maintenance of all air compressors, refrigeration equipment, compressed air dryers, pumping and heating systems to meet the required standards.
- To maintain a high standard of health and safety; to maintain records required by regulations on lifting equipment, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, compressed air regulations and local exhaust ventilation systems and to perform all necessary tests to ensure the safety of such equipment.
- To be responsible for the safety and practices of contractors on site called in by the job holder and to ensure that maintenance contracts are correctly fulfilled.
- To maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all plant rooms and other areas under their control.
- To ensure correct disposal of all hazardous materials.
- Responding to breakdowns on operational plant equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements
Education:
- Qualified in at least one core discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) and a strong understanding of a second to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
- Microsoft office applications including word and excel to proficient level.
- Knowledge of reciprocating and screw air compressors is desirable.
- Knowledge of pump sets and industrial water systems is desirable.
- Previous experience of working closely with contractors is desirable.
- Forklift truck license is desirable.
- The ability to work on one’s own initiative to achieve objectives and taking accountability for work/actions undertaken.
- The ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and in control with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
