What will you do?

Make an impact!

The Plant Supervisor plays a key role in the effective management and operation of the facility. Combining operational leadership with strategic responsibility, the role is focused on ensuring the plant achieves its objectives safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Tasks will include:

  • To manage all waste movements on site from receipt to treatment and/or transfer from site in accordance with company procedures (SAP) and legislation to ensure all revenue is captured
  • Ensure the plant(s) are operated in line with site permits and consents, including monitoring emissions (where applicable) to avoid breaches
  • Report any such breaches to the regulator in accordance with permit requirements and to management in accordance with company procedures
  • Maximise throughputs on all processing plants by ensuring waste is mixed/blended as required
  • Act as go between to site manager in the absence of the plant manager
  • Carry out all required operational checks and/or maintenance on site and equipment in accordance with PPM schedule
  • Carry out repairs on equipment where trained
  • Use initiative to solve problems as they occur or notify line manager where this is not possible
  • Ensure all bins (770ltr) are washed and maintained after each use
  • Deploy resources to ensure swift turnaround of company vehicles
  • Working as part of the site team you will be expected to carry out duties to assist other parts of the operation
  • Ensure that site housekeeping is of the highest standards
  • Report waste on site numbers at the end of each shift in accordance with site requirements
  • Liaise with emergency services, point of call during silent hours
