Job Introduction

Plant Supervisor (ReadyMix)

Agecroft Concrete Plant, Salford

Lead Operations. Drive Performance. Build Your Future.

Ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

We're looking for a hands-on, people-focused Plant Supervisor to lead our ReadyMix concrete operations at our busy Agecroft Concrete Plant in Salford.

Are you an experienced Supervisor looking for a new challenge? If you are already leading your own site operation and making a real impact, if you enjoy taking ownership of safety, production, performance and people then this role may appeal to you. Whether you're already working in ReadyMix, aggregates, quarrying, concrete, asphalt, construction materials or another heavy industrial environment, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Don't have ReadyMix experience? That's not a problem. If you have strong leadership experience from a similar operational environment, we'll provide full product and industry training.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Plant Supervisor you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our ReadyMix plant ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, customer service and operational performance. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll manage production activities, monitor costs and deliver excellent service to our customers while maintaining compliance with company and legislative standards. You will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the ReadyMix plant including contractor activities
  • Promote and drive a positive safety culture across site
  • Manage daily production operations, stock levels and operational costs
  • Ensure efficient concrete production to required quality standards
  • Monitor and improve plant performance through KPIs
  • Resolve operational and customer queries in a timely manner
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and site standards
  • Batch concrete to customer specifications whilst meeting internal quality requirements
  • Manage both fixed and variable site costs in line with budget expectations
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
