Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 08:00-16:30 Wednesday to Sunday

About the Role
Our Plants Supervisor plays a key role in creating an inspiring and vibrant plant department, ensuring our plants are beautifully presented, exceptionally cared for, and supported by outstanding customer service. Working closely with the manager, you'll lead by example, support the team in delivering daily operations, and help create an engaging shopping experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Care for and maintain a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants, ensuring they are healthy, thriving, and beautifully presented.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, sharing expert advice on plant selection and plant care.
- Assist with plant deliveries, stock replenishment, pricing, and merchandising displays.
- Support local plant delivery services and seasonal department changes.
- Help oversee stock accuracy, transfers, waste management, and in-house planted arrangements.
- Support the Plant Manager with daily operations and team supervision.
- Lead by example, helping to train and develop team members while maintaining high service standards.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping, health and safety, and maintenance standards across the department.

Skills & Requirements
- A genuine passion for plants, gardening, and the natural world.
- Able to share knowledge and create memorable experiences for customers.
- Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards.
- Thrives in a hands-on role, both indoors and outdoors, throughout the changing seasons.
- Brings a positive, proactive attitude and enjoys working collaboratively with others.
- Is physically capable of lifting and moving plants and products up to 25kg.
- Has previous experience in a garden centre, nursery, or retail setting (desirable).
- Holds a full UK driving licence.

*The on target earning potential for this role is £31,200 per annum based on a 40-hour contract - comprising a base earnings of £28,371.20, plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.
