We are seeking a Plasma Operator to be based in our Fabrication facility in Huntly who will be responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting machinery to accurately cut steel plate and components in accordance with drawings, cutting lists, and production requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating CNC plasma cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and cutting specifications.
- Loading and unloading steel plate and finished components.
- Checking cut parts for accuracy, dimensions, and quality.
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and consumable changes.
- Identifying and reporting machine or quality issues.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working area.
- Working closely with fabricators and the production team to meet workshop deadlines.

- Previous CNC plasma cutting experience preferred.
- Good understanding of steel fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
