At Progress Housing Group, your work supports communities and changes lives.

We make sure every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference - where you work with purpose, your growth is supported, and you are proud to belong.

From inclusive recruitment practices to tailored support at work, we create an environment where everyone can succeed.

The Role

As a Plasterer, you will play an important role in helping us maintain safe, high-quality homes for our customers. You will carry out a wide range of plastering works across occupied homes, void properties and other internal and external customer properties, supporting reactive repairs, void re-instatement, planned maintenance and installation work.

You will complete all types of plastering work to a high standard, making sure each job is delivered safely, efficiently and with pride in the finished result. This may include preparing surfaces, carrying out repairs, reinstating plasterwork, supporting refurbishment works and completing associated trade tasks such as basic plumbing, joinery, brickwork, tiling, screeding, rendering or painting where needed to help complete jobs in one visit.

You will work in line with appointments, repair priorities and agreed timescales, keeping accurate records of your work, materials and time spent. You will also take responsibility for keeping your work vehicle clean, organised and well maintained, completing the required daily checks and reporting any defects promptly to your Team Leader.

You will follow health and safety requirements, relevant legislation, building regulations, codes of practice and risk assessments, while helping us deliver a reliable, professional repairs service.

You will be customer focused in everything you do, communicating clearly with customers, colleagues, team leaders and managers, treating customers and their property with respect, and working collaboratively to complete multi-trade jobs. The ideal candidate will also bring experience of working in social housing, with an understanding of the importance of delivering repairs in people’s homes with care, professionalism and respect.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
