Good construction training starts with a workshop that is safe, organised and ready for students to learn by doing.
As our Plastering Technician, you’ll support practical learning across Plastering and our wider Construction provision. You’ll prepare materials, tools and equipment, maintain workshop spaces and help students work safely and professionally during practical sessions.
You don’t need to be a lecturer. You do need practical plastering or wider construction experience, a strong understanding of workshop safety and the organisation to make sure resources are ready when they’re needed.

Working alongside lecturers, you’ll:
- Prepare tools, equipment and materials for practical sessions;
- Maintain safe, clean and well-organised workshop areas;
- Monitor stock and report equipment or safety concerns;
- Demonstrate the safe use of tools and equipment where appropriate; and
- Support students during practical activity under the direction of teaching staff.
We’re looking for someone with a relevant Plastering qualification, ideally at Level 2 or above, and experience gained in plastering or a related construction environment.

You’ll be practical, dependable and safety focused. You’ll enjoy supporting others, take pride in keeping a workshop running properly and understand the professional standards students need to develop for employment in the construction industry.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week.
