Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for Platers and Welders located in Rotherham. The role involves fabricating and assembling process plant equipment and components from technical drawings, using appropriate plating and welding techniques. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role requires adherence to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong welding skills, including Welding and Arc Welding, with the ability to produce clean, structurally sound welds.
  • Proficiency in TIG Welding and MIG Welding for a range of industrial applications and materials.
  • Knowledge of Materials used in process plant equipment, including properties, preparation, and handling.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, fabrication sketches, and welding symbols.
  • Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in welding, plating, or fabrication, or equivalent experience.
  • Commitment to safe working practices, familiarity with relevant standards, and use of appropriate PPE.
  • Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, or industrial equipment manufacturing is beneficial.
