Platform Architect – PaaS / Platform Services – London
I’m working with a highly technical organisation in London that is looking for a senior Platform Architect to help shape the platforms and services used by its engineering teams.
The focus is PaaS and platform services. You’ll be working across the technology that sits between the underlying infrastructure and the engineers building on top of it, helping decide how those platforms should evolve and how they should work at scale.
What you’ll be working on:
- Shaping the architecture of PaaS and shared platform services used across a large engineering environment
- Working across developer platforms, Kubernetes, containerised workloads, CI/CD, automation, IaC, and other common platform capabilities
- Making decisions around how platform services integrate with compute, networking, storage, cloud, and security
- Designing platforms that give engineering teams more consistency and automation without getting in their way
- Working closely with engineering teams on technical direction, design choices, and longer-term platform evolution
- Staying close enough to the technology to challenge designs and make practical architectural decisions rather than operating purely at governance level
