We are hiring for Platform Architect (Private Cloud / VMware / Kubernetes)

Location: Sheffield - Hybrid / 3 days Per week in Office

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Architect, Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer or equivalent senior technical role within large-scale, regulated or enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience in private cloud and platform engineering, with solid technical depth in at least two of the following areas:
    • Virtualisation technologies: VMware or equivalent platforms.
    • Containers & Kubernetes: Cluster operations, upgrades, networking, multi-tenancy, policy and platform architecture.
    • Kafka & Event Streaming: Architecture, operations, governance and enterprise platform enablement.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, including distributed systems, networking, performance tuning, fault tolerance and capacity planning.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation-first engineering practices.
