Platform Architect (P4/P5) - Remote, United Kingdom

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Platform Architect (P4/P5) based in United Kingdom.

As a Platform Architect, you will design and evolve scalable cloud platforms supporting global pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations.

You will work across AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and modern infrastructure technologies to deliver robust, secure, and efficient solutions.

The role combines hands-on architecture with client advisory, technical leadership, and project ownership.

You will translate complex client needs into practical cloud strategies while collaborating closely with engineering, data, and commercial teams.

You will also mentor engineers, contribute to pre-sales initiatives, and help shape solutions from technical discovery through delivery.

Working in a fully remote, international environment, you will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence high-impact, data-driven projects.

This is a senior architecture opportunity with a clear path toward broader Principal and Staff-level responsibilities.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and evolve scalable cloud platforms across AWS and Azure, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with client requirements.
  • Develop infrastructure automation using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and consistency.
  • Architect containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes and provide technical guidance on modern cloud and platform engineering practices.
  • Advise clients on cloud architecture, infrastructure strategy, technical trade-offs, and implementation approaches.
  • Lead small technical teams, provide architectural direction, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers to support their professional development.
  • Work closely with engineering, data, and sales teams to shape technical solutions that address both client needs and business objectives.
  • Participate actively in pre-sales activities, including understanding client requirements, scoping solutions, contributing to proposals, and supporting efforts to win new projects.
  • Apply Agile and Scrum practices to coordinate delivery, manage priorities, and maintain effective collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Take ownership of platform architecture from initial technical discovery and solution design through implementation and delivery guidance.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining strong communication and delivery standards across projects and time zones.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
