Role: Platform Architect
Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days/week)
Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise platform architecture, standards, and governance.
- Lead modernization of Data, Integration, Streaming, and Platform Engineering ecosystems.
- Architect and govern Snowflake, Confluent Cloud Kafka, Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and Data Mesh platforms.
- Design event-driven architectures using Kafka and Confluent Cloud.
- Establish CI/CD standards using GitHub Actions, DevOps automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Drive security, scalability, performance, resilience, and cost optimization.
- Define enterprise integration patterns across APIs, Kafka, ETL/ELT, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to deliver scalable data platforms.

Mandatory Skills

- 15+ years in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Integration, or Data Platforms.
- Experience delivering at least one large-scale multi-technology cloud data platform.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake and/or Confluent Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Confluent Cloud, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong GitHub Actions, CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native platforms.
- Deep understanding of Data Mesh, Data Governance, Security, and Compliance.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and Agile delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing skills.
