Senior Applications Platforms Manager - 7 month Contract O/Side IR35 - Hybrid Manchester - Open Day Rate DOE
TechOhana have partnered with a global professional services organisation to appoint an Interim Senior Application Platforms Manager.
This is a seven-month engagement leading a business-critical application estate through a period of organisational transition, with a clear mandate to establish an AI and automation capability and shape the function's future operating model.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Technology Services, you'll provide leadership and operational oversight across Application Platforms, keeping services stable while progressing transformation and modernisation work. You'll lead cloud migration, SaaS adoption and application rationalisation, and put in place the governance, standards and delivery pipeline for AI and automation, from proof of concept through to production. Before handover, you'll recommend the future team structure, capability requirements and sourcing strategy.

What you'll bring:
- Senior leadership experience within enterprise application services, managing large application estates and support teams
- A proven record of leading application transformation, modernisation or automation programmes
- Strong commercial, vendor and contract management experience within a complex global organisation
Nice to have (bonus, not required):
- Experience establishing or scaling an enterprise AI and automation capability, including low-code and workflow automation
- A background in legal, professional services or financial services
- Exposure to platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow and Azure, or legal practice and document management systems
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps and ITIL delivery models
