Platform Engineer | Enterprise AI / FinTech | London (Onsite) | Up to £150k

We're working with a fast-growing, well-funded enterprise AI company building technology for major financial institutions. Following a significant recent funding round, the business is scaling rapidly and is looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to take ownership of its cloud infrastructure, DevOps, observability and compliance readiness.

This is a high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys building and owning infrastructure end-to-end within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Architect, build and maintain scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure
  • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across backend, frontend and data services
  • Drive observability across logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and on-call processes
  • Support SOC 2 / ISO 27001 readiness and broader security/compliance initiatives
  • Manage cloud performance and costs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Champion DevOps, reliability, security and operational best practices across engineering

Technical environment:

  • Azure - strong experience preferred; AWS exposure advantageous
  • Terraform, Kubernetes/AKS, Docker and GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of networking including VPCs, DNS, load balancers, VPNs and firewalls
  • Production database and storage experience including PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL
  • Security tooling, secrets management and vulnerability scanning
  • Python or Bash for scripting and automation

Ideal background:

  • Approximately 4–7 years of Platform, DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering experience
  • Experience within a startup, scale-up or high-growth/high-load environment
  • Proven ownership of infrastructure from architecture through to production support
  • Experience improving reliability, security and cloud cost efficiency
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001 and/or GDPR environments
  • Comfortable operating in an ambitious environment where priorities can move quickly and expectations are high
